NI/Republic of Ireland Programs: Welcome

2023 Immersion Youth Program (Northern Ireland/Republic of Ireland)
Applications are closed!

July 9th - July 23rd*

*Dates are approximate and subject to change based on flight availabilities.

We are excited to offer this one-of-a-kind program designed to develop bold and empathetic leaders (15-18 years old) from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. This program includes 10+ virtual sessions and a trip to our Global Headquarters in New Hampshire. 100% of the program fees will be waived for all accepted applications. There are only 10 slots for this program.

This program will focus on conflict transformation (personal and community), public speaking, communication, and identity.

It is one of the most challenging youth leadership programs and emphasizes resilience, empathy, and action. Participants will develop concrete skills and the confidence that will help them become the best versions of themselves so they can help their community become the best version of itself.

Program Details

FFI programs incorporate our RECIPE and are adapted to fit the interests of the individuals within each and every group.

There are a variety of qualities we are looking for in applicants and we encourage all to apply. Please note, each applicant will complete a personal virtual interview with an FFI staff member as a way to develop this essential skill.

Applicants MUST have a valid passport upon submission. Additionally, due to the United States' COVID entry restrictions, applicants that are 18 years-old MUST be fully vaccinated according to CDC guidelines.

100% of the program fees will be waived for all accepted applicants. Only 10 slots are available, and applicants from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are encouraged to apply!

The program will be around five months in length and will be split into three phases:

Team Building - This phase will include virtual sessions that are 2 hours in length and one to two times a week.

Skill Building - This phase is the Immersion Trip at the FFI Campus in New Hampshire.

Community Building - This phase will include virtual sessions that are once a week and a social action project that addresses a need in their communities.

For more detailed information about our phases, visit our Immersion Programs page.
