Meet the April Credit-Bearing Team

Durham, New Hampshire, April 22nd-29th

These seven young people are participating in our Credit-Bearing Program with a concentration on Writing and Art. They are coming from across the state of New Hampshire. Their FFI journey will help them develop their communication, empathetic debating, and public speaking skills. At the end of their program, they will be eligible for 2 credits transferable to their high school.

Issues she is passionate about: Polarizing Ideas/ lack of ability to communicate and overall lack of confidence. 

Envisionment as a Leader: “When I picture myself as a leader it means to me taking in input from others and making and executing a plan of action, as well as taking into account all aspects of who and what will be affected by any decisions made.”

Hobbies: Softball, painting, knitting, sculpting, chess, and band.

Issues she is passionate about: Communication in schools regarding school events and a national loss of empathy.

Envisionment as a Leader: “Being the lead in the musical theater dance at my studio is the first leadership scenario that comes to mind. As the lead you are the role model for the other dancers in the group and are responsible for helping out everyone.”

Envisionment as a Leader: “I imagine treating everyone equally and well. But I would not be a leader unless I know what it is like to be in the roles of the people below the leader. Everyone would be happy and people would not fight. It would be inclusive and everyone would get a chance to speak their mind.”

In order for FFI to make these programs 100% tuition-free for accepted applicants, we rely upon individuals, companies, and foundations to donate towards scholarships. If you would like to do so, please click the button below for an online gift or mail a check to our Headquarters at 1 Morgan Way, Durham, NH 03824. Please be sure to include a note directing your funds.

One full scholarship equals $3,000, but gifts of all sizes make an impact on the lives of the youth participants.
