What they want to learn more about: I am fascinated by the genetic portion of forensic science and how scientists are able to track down a suspect based on their individual DNA. I am interested in learning the processes of DNA collection and what different techniques forensic scientists use to provide interpretable evidence… I am interested in learning more about the effectiveness of US incarceration and if it prevents people from reoffending. I would like to look at if incarceration helps with public safety in the long run, and if prisoners are able to successfully re-enter society after being behind bars.

Hobbies: Camp, 4 wheeling, snowmachine, skiing, reading, singing, sports.

What they want to learn more about: Crime scene analysis, investigations and technique. I hope to learn from what is offered as much as I can… I would love to learn the process (of incarceration) from beginning to end and what steps are taken in the court process if possible.

What they want to learn more about: It would be great to learn more about forensics and
apply what I have already learned… I am interested in learning how guilt or innocence is determined through use of science and forensics. I would like to learn how forensics helps the justice system apprehend people who have committed crimes and hold them accountable. I am also interested in exploring harm reduction approaches to improving society.

Hobbies: Piano, band, running, trumpet, reading, nordic skiing, alpine skiing, mountain biking and hiking.

What they want to learn more about: Forensic molecular biology is one aspect of forensic science I'm interested in. I hope to explore this throughout the program by hearing the true crime stories and the process of this crazy cycle and justice system… I hope to learn more about the justice systems, and come back with a better understanding of how these systems work.

What they want to learn more about: I don't know much, but I've always been interested in True crime and would love to learn.

What they want to learn more about: I am particularly fascinated by forensic psychology and DNA analysis. Forensic psychology interests me because it combines the principles of psychology with the legal system, helping to understand criminal behavior, assess suspects, and provide crucial insights during investigations and trials… I am deeply committed to understanding and addressing the intertwined issues of prison reform and recidivism in the United States. The current state of our justice system, characterized by high rates of incarceration and persistent cycles of re-offending, underscores the urgent need for comprehensive reform.

Hobbies: Watching various shows, going on walks, hanging out with friends.

What they want to learn more about: I’m interested in inspecting crime scenes and going over the autopsy of victims. I like the mortuary part of forensics a lot.. (as it relates to incarceration) I’m interested to see how it works and what it’s like to go through the incarceration process.

What they want to learn more about: I am interested in the criminal justice system and forensic psychology. I am hoping to gain more information and experience regarding criminal investigations, how forensic science works, and how the legal system works… How and why people get incarcerated, what the process is, and what it looks like.
