Creative Expression: July 13th - 20th
These teams are participating in our summer Art-focused Credit-Bearing Programs! They are coming from across the state of New Hampshire. Their FFI journey will help them develop their communication, resilience, and public speaking skills, as well as gain knowledge and experience in ceramics and photography. At the end of their program, they will be eligible for 2 credits transferable to their high school. Learn more about this team by scrolling below.

Emma
Age: 15
Hobbies: Crochet, drawing, diamond paintings, prepare for Dungeons and Dragons sessions as a game master, learning new skills, and making elastic band bracelets with Rainbow Loom bands.
What they want to learn more about: (Photography) how to take dynamic shots that still bring your attention most to the intended subject while allowing for the investigation of other subjects in the picture. (Ceramics) learning how to create something with my own two hands that I could paint so that I can more completely make something myself.

What they want to learn more about: (Photography) How to take good photos, photography specific words/phrases, basics to know. (Ceramics) Basics, how to actually create ceramics.

Hobbies: Reading, Hiking/Exploring Nature, Coloring, Arts and Crafts.
What they want to learn more about: (Photography) I'm interested in learning how to edit my photos to improve them, as well as learning how to use cameras with different lenses . (Ceramics) I'd like to learn how to use a potter's wheel and throw clay properly, since I've only ever sculpted by hand before.

Hobbies: I write and read, play D&D, edit and create my podcast, and draw.
What they want to learn more about: (Photography) framing photos and how best to take a picture with lighting and placement of a focus point and how to create the best looking photographs as an artist. (Ceramics) sculpting and throwing clay, as well as get to see the wide range of projects you can make with ceramics.

What they want to learn more about: (Photography) I want to learn how to operate a digital or film camera, and all of the technical stuff like shutter speed, aperture, ISO etc. (Ceramics) I'd like to learn how to make functional and creative pieces like
plates, pots, bowls, mugs, etc.

One full scholarship equals $3,000, but gifts of all sizes make an impact on the lives of the youth participants.
