FFI Art Afloat Team
June 18-25
Six young leaders from across New Hampshire are spending a week building communication, resilience, public speaking, and outdoor leadership skills through FFI’s Adventure Education Program. Along the way, they will earn up to two transferable high school credits while exploring art, nature, and teamwork.

Emily
Emily is the kind of person who is always involved. Between art club, drama club, volleyball, mentoring younger students, and helping with school announcements, she enjoys bringing people together and helping things happen.
She joined FFI because she wants to grow as a leader. Emily already enjoys organizing group activities and supporting others, but she sees this experience as an opportunity to strengthen her communication skills and gain the confidence to take on even bigger challenges.
What I'm most excited about: Learning how to lead a group and becoming more confident helping others succeed.
Janet
Janet is curious about the world and the people in it. Whether she's working on yearbook, singing in chorus, volunteering, creating art, or spending time outdoors, she enjoys learning through new experiences and new perspectives.
FFI appealed to Janet because it offered something different: a chance to step outside her comfort zone, connect with people from different backgrounds, and challenge herself in ways that don't happen in a classroom.
What I'm most excited about: Meeting new people, hearing different perspectives, and creating memories that will last long after the program ends.

Layla
Layla brings energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to everything she does. From theater and dance to volleyball, horseback riding, and voice lessons, she loves opportunities that allow her to express herself and try new things.
She was drawn to FFI because it combines adventure, nature, and connection. Layla hopes the experience will help her build confidence, develop new skills, and create friendships with people she might never have met otherwise.
What I'm most excited about: Spending time outdoors, building confidence, and making new friends.
Malaya
Malaya enjoys creative writing, photography, music, and exploring the outdoors. She is someone who values both creativity and personal growth, and she is always looking for opportunities to challenge herself through new experiences.
She joined FFI because she wanted to push beyond her comfort zone and continue developing the confidence and leadership skills that will help her in the future. She sees this week as an opportunity to learn not only about adventure and teamwork, but also about herself.
What I'm most excited about: Challenging myself, trying new things, and becoming more confident in unfamiliar situations.

REESE
Reese is passionate about creativity, self expression, and creating spaces where people feel accepted for who they are. They enjoy music, art, baking, gaming, and finding ways to bring people together.
What drew Reese to FFI was the opportunity to reconnect with nature while building leadership skills they can bring back to their school and community. They hope to use what they learn to help create environments where everyone feels welcome and valued.
What I'm most excited about: Disconnecting from everyday routines, spending time outdoors, and bringing new ideas back to my community.
Ruby
Ruby loves reading, swimming, baking, and exploring new experiences. She enjoys opportunities that help her learn, meet new people, and see the world from a different perspective.
She joined FFI because she wanted to challenge herself, strengthen her confidence, and build meaningful connections with others. Through this experience, Ruby hopes to deepen her connection with nature while discovering new strengths within herself.
What I'm most excited about: Meeting new people, building confidence, and strengthening my relationship with nature.
