FFI wants to bring creative people from around the world to the Farmhouse for Residencies that enrich our understanding of the world and open new perspectives for the community. Nechama Levendel and Paz Die Dean: September 2019
Nechama Levendel born 1961 in Israel. In 1979, she graduated from Wizo France Tel Aviv- School of the Arts. Since 1984 she has lived in Ein Hod artists village – Israel. Nechama lived and worked with the artist Nadav Bloch in Israel and abroad.
Nechama is a mixed-media artist who works with old books to create sculptural journeys. While at the Farmhouse, she will continue her work. Visit Nechama's website, http://nechamalevendel.com/, to view her portfolio and read her artist statement.
Paz Die Dean was born in 1963. Currently, she works on various projects about women, connected with her exhibition of sculptures "Open Heart", and making collective sculptures with groups of women. Also, she lectures and lectures on art as therapy regarding Gender Violence (S. Javier, Bolivia 2013, Universidad LC Lima, Peru 2013).
Paz works with children and adolescents in her “Remodelarte” project, offering a sensitization workshop against gender violence. The project uses art as therapy in self-esteem or grief courses, organized through the “With Good Foot” workshop that concludes with an exhibition of symbolic shoes, in constant growth.
