FFI’s Nationwide Immersion Program brings together approximately 10 young people ages 14–18 from across the United States for a multi-phase leadership experience culminating in a residential immersion at FFI’s New Hampshire campus.

FFI typically selects 10 participants, allowing the group to develop close relationships while giving each participant significant opportunities for individual growth.

No. The residential experience is only one phase of the program. Participants complete virtual team-building and leadership sessions before traveling to New Hampshire and continue working with FFI afterward as they develop and carry out a Community Action Project in their own community.

The residential portion is approximately 10–14 days and takes place at FFI’s Global Headquarters in Durham, New Hampshire.

FFI coordinates travel for accepted participants. Specific travel arrangements are communicated to families before the program.

Yes, FFI provides a competency report to the student’s school, but the individual school determines whether the credits will transfer.

Participants put their leadership skills into practice through a Community Action Project designed to address a need they identify in their own community. After completing the program, participants become FFI alumni and can access future leadership, travel, workshop, facilitation, and alumni opportunities.
