Bloomington Normal: Welcome

Immersion Youth Program (Bloomington-Normal, IL)
Summer 2022

Applications accepted until June 1st!

We are excited to offer this one-of-a-kind program designed to develop bold and empathetic leaders (15-18 years old) from the Bloomington-Normal area. This program includes 12+ virtual sessions and a 16-day trip to our Global Headquarters in New Hampshire.

This program will focus on conflict transformation (personal and community), public speaking, communication, and identity.

It is one of the most challenging youth leadership programs in the country and emphasizes resilience, empathy, and action. Participants will develop concrete skills and the confidence that will help them unify the nation and transform the world into a better place.

Bloomington Normal: Who We Are

Program Details

FFI programs incorporate our RECIPE and are adapted to fit the interests of the individuals within each and every group.

The program will be around five months in length and will be split into three phases:

Team Building - This phase will include virtual sessions that are two hours in length and twice a week.

Skill Building - This phase is the 16-day Immersion Trip at the FFI Campus in New Hampshire.

Community Building - This phase will include virtual sessions that are once a week and a social action project that addresses a need in their communities.

There are a variety of qualities we are looking for in applicants and we encourage all to apply. Please note, each applicant will complete a personal virtual interview with an FFI staff member as a way to develop this essential skill.

100% of the program fees will be waived for all accepted applicants. Only 8 slots are available, and applicants from the Bloomington-Normal, IL area are encouraged to apply!

The Skill Building Trip dates will be June 24th-July 10th

For Immersion Programs

  1. Apply! Fill out the FFI Program Application form.

  2. Schedule Your Interview! All applicants will be contacted by FFI to set-up a video meeting to discuss their application and interest in FFI's program.

  3. Receive Your Acceptance Packet! Space is limited in each round of programs. If you are not accepted, you are welcome to apply to future FFI Programs!

Bloomington Normal: What We Do

Provide a Scholarship

In order for FFI to make these programs 100% tuition-free for accepted applicants, we rely upon individuals, companies, and foundations to donate towards scholarships. If you would like to do so, please click the button below for an online gift or mail a check to our Headquarters at 1 Morgan Way, Durham, NH 03824. Please be sure to include a note directing your funds.

One full scholarship equals $3,000, but gifts of all sizes make an impact on the lives of the youth participants.
